I'm not a mom, but was married to one and she not only worked a full-time job, but also did lots of the mom-type things with our daughter and did a lot of the household management tasks and looked after her husband who worked stupidly long hours sometimes or was traveling and found time for outside activities and even found time for herself! And there are still people that would say that other than the job, she didn't work!
Well, you guys know better and as far as I'm concerned it's "Hats off to you" when it comes to all the things you do. And I have even more respect for those of you who decide they are going to take on a business to go along with it.
Many of you may be doing that because you need or want extra income or it may be because you need another creative outlet or it may be that, with the kids getting older and more independent, you now have time to pursue this.
No matter what the reason is, you've already figured out that it can also be a real challenge sometimes to get a business started, up and running, and often to have to do it with no real help. My ex-wife and I tried many things that were supposedly home-based businesses and found that they demanded way more time, more meetings and more travel than we were willing to commit to.
But I never gave up on the idea that I could find something that I could really do at home, really at home, get some mentoring, make some money and have all the time I wanted to spend with my new wife.
And I've found it. And better yet, she and I can do this business together. It takes some creativity and we both have it in different areas which makes for a great team.
