So you already have a full time job, so something during the week, even part time, is not viable. And you don't want to work nights because, well, working 24 hours straight is not too fun.
So what do you do? Turn to Craigslist!
On Craigslist, there is a section called "GIGS" and it is a great resource for finding one time/part time odd ball jobs. Gigs basically got me through college.
When you think about WHO is posting jobs on the gigs section, it is someone who is not looking for an expert or a full time job. They have a job that they don't want to do, or can't do, and want to find the cheapest route possible. Now, don't let the word "cheap" fool you. You will be cheaper than anyone else, but the work still pays great money. And the best part is, if you don't like a job, or they are not offering enough, DON'T TAKE IT! There are plenty of jobs. You have the ability to pick and choose. Take only the jobs you think are worth it. Not worth it? Move on.
And don't limit yourself to just what you know. Yes, you will be able to make more money and do the job faster doing a field that you are familiar with. BUT-limiting yourself to those jobs may limit the amount of work that you can get. So really think about everything you know how to do and check out the jobs. My theory is it never hurts to send an email if you are interested. If the person comes back and it doesn't seem worth it, probably it is not.
As always, be wary of spammers, scams and all around weird people. NEVER accept anything other than cash and if the situation seems too good to be true, it probably is. Stay away from anything having to do with wire transfers, and you should never have to pay to work. That defeats the purpose of working doesn't it?
Craigslist "GIGS" is a great resource to find odd end/part time jobs to supplement your income.
